The Catholic Foundation for Higher Education was created in Macao in January 1996 by the Diocese of Macao and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

The Foundation is the title-holder of the University and its main aims are to contribute to the development of Higher Education in Macao, to promote and develop the rich humanistic and cultural heritage of Macao and to promote interchange between universities and other cultural and scientific institutions.

The Foundation has a team of members working in different capacities:

• Members of the General Council

• Members of the Executive Council

• Members of the Supervisory Board
