On the morning of 16th of December 2020, a delegation of 8 members from the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS), Qingdao, China, visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Ilha Verde Campus.
On the morning of 16th of December 2020, a delegation of 8 members from the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS), Qingdao, China, visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Ilha Verde Campus.
Prof. David Gonçalves, Dean of the Institute of Science and Environment of USJ, led the delegation on a campus tour, followed by a meeting where the Vice-Rector, Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, and Pro-Rector, Prof. Kevin Hannam, warmly welcomed the delegation along with other researchers from the USJ Institute of Science and Environment. Current and future plans for cooperation in the area of Marine Sciences between IOCAS and USJ were discussed.
Among the delegation were the Executive Deputy Director of the IOCAS, Prof. Yang Hongsheng, Prof. Zhang Libin, Prof. Li Jun, Associate Prof. Li Xian, Prof. Zhang Hui, Prof. Meng Linghong, Postdoctoral Fellow Dr. Ding Kui and Ph.D candidate Zhang Shuangyan.
