ISE Researchers Publish Paper on Macao Air Quality Forecast

Researchers from the University of Saint Joseph’s Institute of Science and Environment and the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa have published a new study in the Springer Journal “Air Quality, Atmosphere & Health” on “Macao Air Quality Forecast using Statistical Methods”.

In this study, lead by Thomas Lei, a PhD student in cotutelle between the aforementioned institutions, a statistical model was developed that accurately predicts air pollution levels in the territory. The model can be used as an operational air quality forecast for Macao, allowing the population to take precautionary measures and avoid health risks under high pollutant exposure.
