USJ’s Master of Communication and Media (MCM) will launch the first Open Class Exhibition titled “We Connect” on 22 June 2019 at Creative Macau (創意空間)

The University of Saint Joseph’s Master of Communication and Media (MCM) will launch the first Open Class Exhibition titled “We Connect” to showcase students’ multimedia projects on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019, at Creative Macau (創意空間) at 2:30p.m.

The Open Class Exhibition “We Connect” implies that the core part of communication is about connection and interaction and involves four sessions: Macao-themed videos; eco-themed infographic posters; creative presentations and an interactive short movie.

The Macao-themed videos will display a number of short video content, showing the students’ own unique views of Macao. The poster exhibition outlines an environmental theme, demonstrating the state of the environment, provoking both awareness and dialogue of action to be done for our Earth. The creative presentations, produced in Pecha Kucha – a modern storytelling format in the industry – share the students’ start-up ideas. The exhibition ends with an interactive film, offering a postmodern version of the classic “Alice in Wonderland” to spark conversation on the variety of film-making.

“This Open Class Exhibition proves that the Master of Communication and Media is at the forefront of the contemporary information society. The Master programme has a strong reputation. Technical and practical topics are covered, ranging from audio-visual production to online digital publishing techniques, reflecting upon the entire range of modern platforms, and addressing topics dealing with the interrelationship between media, cultures, and many forms of social organisations” said Prof. José Manuel Simões, the Coordinator for the  Department of Communication and Media of the University.
