Alexandre Lebel (Master of Environmental Sciences and Management 2017 Graduate) / from: Canada

I had work experience in water treatment technologies in Canada and I wanted to specialise in environmental sciences. Environmental issues have become a world priority for the 21st century, and Macau is no exception. However, I knew from my experience from the field that different environmental challenges are specific to each region. The Master of Environmental Sciences and Management provided a unique opportunity to gain insights into a complex situation. While I was developing new skills, I became more aware of local resources and solutions to solve environmental issues. The multidisciplinary nature of the programme was a key element of my training. During my studies, I had the chance to travel in various places and to meet with many specialists from different fields such as biology, legal studies, philosophy, chemistry, engineering, economics, design, and architecture. Moreover, the university offered me a great occasion to grow my social and professional network which is essential for having a successful career in Macau.
