USJ Senior Management Team visits Liaison Office of Central People’s Government on 13th December 2016
On December 13, 2016, Fr. Peter Stilwell, Rector, led the USJ senior management team in his visit to the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau S.A.R., where he was warmly received by Mdm. Xu Ting, Director General of Cultural and Educational Department, and other officials. Other visitors were Vice Rector Maria Antónia Espadinha, Pro-Rector Vincent Cheng Yang, Administrator Lavena Cheong and Registrar Jenny Lao Phillips. Rector Stilwell and Pro-Rector Yang debriefed Ms. Xu on recent development in the University and activities of exchanges and cooperation with universities in the mainland. Ms. Xu congratulated USJ for making visible progresses in building the new campus, quality in education and improvement of regulatory and management systems. The new management team of USJ, she said, demonstrated a good balance of internationalization and localization. The Cultural and Educational Department of the Liaison Office will give full support to USJ’s effort of further developing cooperation and academic exchanges with mainland China.
