Short Bio

Ray Choy is a social worker by profession.  He received his Master in Public Health and PhD degrees at the University of New South Wales and University of Sydney respectively. 

Ray has diverse experience in the public sector (universities, government departments and NGOs in Australia and Hong Kong). 

Concerning public services, Ray was appointed by the HKSAR Government as member of boards and committees including the Guardianship Board, Health Care and Promotion Fund Sub-committee and Committee on Elder Academy Development Foundation, Elderly Commission. 

With his academic-cum-administrative background, particularly in the community-based services, Ray would like to share his knowledge and experience with university students.

Ray’s practice and research interest lies in health education and promotion, public health and mental health, migration studies and public administration.  

Commissioned by the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) of MSAR Government, Ray has provided training for social welfare practitioners in elderly service in 2017.
