Coordinator's Message

Within the Faculty of Leadership and Administration, the programs in Government Studies form aspiring and incumbent managers (at Bachelor and Master levels) and leaders (at the master and PhD levels) of the public and not-for-profit sectors. USJ’s historical background and curriculum emphasis on language training in English, Mandarin-Chinese and Portuguese, are undeniably strong assets in preparing local and international students to serve the MSAR public administration, as well as overseas public entities and international bodies.

For those looking at a career in the region, USJ’s Bachelor and Master programs in Government Studies prepare its students to comprehend public administration, its issues and challenges, training them to develop sound and effective public policies. Our internship program combined with the training to the MSAR civil service examinations ensure our students’ preparedness for a rewarding career in the MSAR public service.

For those compelled to work for national governments overseas or international organizations, USJ’s international faculty and extended global network constitute the perfect training ground, especially for those considering a career related to the growing strategic partnership between China and the Portuguese speaking countries.
