On 17 March 2015, the Alumni Association of University of Saint Joseph (AAUSJ) was cordially received by Mr. Zhang Xiaoguang, Deputy Director-General, Department of Culture and Education of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region.
In the meeting, Ms. Joyce Tang, President of the Executive Council of AAUSJ, presented the work of the association and expressed the gratitude to the Liaison Office for the greatest support to the association. This year, the Liaison will continue to support the organization of the Chinese cultural trip to Shanghai. We have also received funding from the Bank of China Macau Branch in sponsoring part of the tour expenses of our students. The Office expects that our faculty members, students and alumni can deepen the understanding of the Chinese Culture and foster the exchange among faculty and students with the universities in China through this trip.
Mr. Zhang was happy with the formation of the Young members division of the Alumni Association and encouraged the alumni continue to focus on the development of the youth affairs.
The meeting was very pleasant and harmonious. The representatives of the Alumni Association participated in this meeting are: Ms. Joyce Tang, President, Mr Addy Chan Vice-President and the members of the new team, Mr. William Un Chairman of the General Assembly, Ms. Angela Ngai, Vice-President and Mr. Joao Bruxo, Director with the presence of Ms. Teresa Loong, Director of the Office for Student Affairs of USJ.
