About the Talk

This Lecture will discuss environmental policies in Macao, namely its environmental legal framework, judicial order, and enforcement mechanisms of environmental laws. Furthermore, it will address the current situation, challenges, and possible solutions. A video about environmental issues in Macao will also be presented.

About the Speaker

Dr. Ho Wai Tim has a PhD in Natural Science and Environmental Law. He is the president of the Macao Ecological Society and a member of the Environmental Council of Macao. He is also actively involved in both environmental education and research in Macao SAR and mainland China. His main research interests are in the area of environmental monitoring, management and utilization of wetlands and algal physiology.
